CORE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

DESCRIPTION

The core employment services accompany, guide, and evaluate the needs of young adults aged 16 to 35 years in their social and economic integration and / or progression into the work world.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Live in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Côte Saint Luc, Hampstead, or Montreal West
  • Be aged between 16 and 35 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

GOALS

  • Inform clients on how to best integrate the work world through a series of workshops
  • Develop the necessary skills valued by the Quebec employers
  • Improve the living conditions of the 16 to 35 year olds by supplying help in job search

PROGRAM CONTENT

  • Answering any on the spot questions on job search in the general reception area
  • Individual meetings with an employment counsellor for skill assessment and a personalized action plan
  • Customized help in writing and / or updating a cv and cover letter that distinguish themselves from the ordinary
  • Unlimited access to CJE resources (computers, fax, telephone, newspapers, documentation...)
  • Numerous workshops tailor made on how to conduct an effective job search
  • Referrals when appropriate to other organizations and partners
  • Access to the job bank and job postings

DURATION

According to need for walk in without an appointment and individual counselling with an appointment. Attending the weekly cv and cover letter workshop is normally a prerequisite for individual counselling.
