Financial assistance for providers of a social assistance program - Power outages due to the ice storm of April 5, 2023
You may be eligible for financial assistance if, following the ice storm of April 5, 2023, you were in the following situation:
- you have been without electricity for more than 24 hours and have lost foodstuffs as a result of this prolonged power cut.
You have until May 12, 2023 to submit a request.
Social assistance programs include last-resort financial assistance, the Job Objective Program and the Basic Income Program.
Assistance amounts to 75 $ for each family member (adult and dependent child), up to a maximum of 300 $ per family.
To apply for financial assistance, please use the online form Declaration on power outages due to bad weather (PDF 614 Ko) or contact the Customer Contact Centre at 1-877-767-8773 to have this form mailed to you.
The form must be duly completed, signed and sent no later than May 12, 2023 in one of the following ways:
- By appearing in person at a service office Quebec
