To kickoff the start of our Building Bridges: Honoring Black Traditions activities, the BCRC is collaborating with West-Can Folk, for a FREE cultural arts and crafts workshop!
In this workshop, participants will be making a Carnival Headpiece, while learning the history and cultural significance of this festival ritual.
The BCRC is proud to be collaborating with West-Can Folk, due to their tremendous knowledge in Afro-Caribbean culture. West-Can’s passion for dance, drumming, storytelling and anything Caribbean makes them a pillar in the community representing the diversity of the Afro-diaspora here in Quebec.
Join us for this free workshop in Kent park (North west corner of Kent park, near Chemin Cote-des-Neiges) August 18th, for this workshop encouraging a wealth of knowledge.
