Academic Support Program Coordinator

Gat has been a major player in education at CJE NDG since September 2022, where he passionately helps people earn their high school diploma or equivalency. Born and raised in Montreal, his roots run deep and his commitment has always been community-oriented. He studied Sociology with honors at Ottawa's Carleton University and Sport and Recreation Management at Vancouver Island University, working with youth for the Lester B. His involvement in the CJE NDG includes working alongside Lynn Worrell, Founder and Executive Director of Project WORD, a Hip Hop literacy program that provides marginalized youth with free access to state-of-the-art recording studios and professional development opportunities. As Fundraising Coordinator and Chairman of the Advisory Board, Gat is enthusiastic about developing hidden talents, giving young people a voice, and creating fun and exciting events that connect people to their communities.
