Job offer: General Management CPE Notre-Dame-de-Grâce

CPE Notre-Dame-de-Grâce is looking for a dedicated individual to take on the role of Executive Director and pursue the organization's mission. The CPE NDG is located on rue Kensington in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce in a new building dating from 2017, custom-designed to meet the needs of the little ones and the staff. The CPE welcomes 78 children, including 10 infants. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager plans, organizes, directs and controls the CPE's activities using best practices while maintaining a harmonious and stimulating work climate. He ensures optimal management of the organization's financial, human and material resources.

Role and responsibilities

General coordination of the CPE.

  • Analyze situations and issues, prepare files and formulate recommendations for decision-making, and ensure their implementation.
  • Ensure optimal operation and quality of educational services, in collaboration with the Pedagogical Director.
  • Manage human resources such as staffing, replacements, schedules, disciplinary or administrative measures.
  • Define procedures to ensure optimal operation of the CPE and ensure that they are applied.
  • Coordinate the welcoming of new children, registrations, and all administrative follow-up related to group management.
  • Define projects to be implemented and ensure their progress.
  • Assist the Board of Directors in carrying out its roles and responsibilities.
  • Carry out all related tasks required for the smooth running of the CPE's activities.

Management of financial and material resources

  • Prepare, monitor and control the budget, manage cash flow and produce administrative and financial reports.
  • Perform accounting tasks, including payroll, in compliance with internal control standards and sound financial management.
  • Prepare and forward reports or documents relating to grants, government permits and government rebates.
  • Ensure the safety, cleanliness and maintenance of the premises, while complying with applicable regulations.
  • General management of the day-care center, including maintenance of the building, grounds and furniture.
  • Supply materials (educational, sanitary, office equipment, etc.).

Human resources management

  • Hire, supervise and evaluate the performance of CPE employees.
  • Manage the calculation of seniority, sick leave, disability, insurance, parental leave, CSST and retirement.
  • In collaboration with the Pedagogical Director, ensure the application, updating and evaluation of the educational program so that it complies with government requirements and is in line with the CPE's mission.
  • Apply the employment contract and ensure that policies are respected and communicated.
  • Fostering a harmonious working environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in pedagogy, education, human resources, administration or other relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience, ideally in the management of an early childhood center.
  • Have a good knowledge of the educational program: Accueillir la petite enfance.
  • Mastery of the accounting cycle, including payroll, and solid knowledge of financial planning.
  • Knowledge and application of applicable laws, regulations and standards.
  • Mastery of ACCEO Solution software.
  • Familiarity with La Place 0-5, Amigest and Planitou is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the following software: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Valid first aid course.
  • Provide a valid criminal record statement related to the job.
