The exhibition will be presented by LES FORGES DE MONTRÉAL.
It begins February 16 to 29 with the installation of the exhibition in the AIR OUVERT space at the CJE NDG. 6370 SHERBROOKE WEST, MONTREAL, QC.
The exhibition will showcase traditional blacksmithing and artisanal steelmaking techniques through study and research; the history and importance of the blacksmith's craft through exhibitions; knowledge of traditional blacksmithing through avant-garde training programs and demonstrations; the blacksmith's craft and its importance through support for artisans; contemporary creation, interdisciplinary collaboration and the rehabilitation of blacksmithing techniques to restore built heritage, and more.
They will also propose a mediation activity, consisting of a 45-minute presentation followed by a question period.
