Description of the program

Ambassadeur jeunesse NDG consists of two intensive weekends of training, hands-on workshops and tours on what it's like to participate on a Board of Directors and how decisions are made in their neighborhoods and cities. The two weekends will take place on April 2-3 and May 7-8, 2022. Between the two weekends, participants will take part in a virtual networking evening to choose the organizations that interest them and that they'd like to visit. Once they've made their choice, they'll have the chance to attend a meeting of the organization's Board of Directors, as well as tour the organization and learn more about its operations.

The program also aims to introduce participants to what an ecological footprint is. Following the first training weekend, they will be able to assess the footprint of the organizations with which they are paired. They will then be able to take this knowledge back to their schools and homes.

To highlight the involvement of the participants, the program offers them a certificate of participation as well as a season pass for La Ronde. In addition, they have the chance to receive one of two scholarships worth $2,500.

Admission 

To participate in the program, young people must be between the ages of 12 and 17 and be residents of Montreal. Registrations are accepted until April 1, 2022.
