Day laborers work in shifts on a regular basis, from training to quarter-hourly shifts.

Tasks may vary during the day between production, packaging and palletizing. Bridor is a family business specializing in bakery products, established in Canada since 1974.

 

 

Production :

  • Carries out scarification of loaves, respecting line rhythms.
  • Checks product dimensions and weights, and rejects those that do not comply with specifications and quality standards.
  • Quickly alerts and warns the operator of production line blockages.
  • Transfers ingredients into mixers or dosing equipment (weights up to 25 kg).
  • Adheres at all times to hygiene and food safety protocols and rules.

 

Packaging :

  • Takes part in sorting the loaves before boxing.
  • Calculates and cashes loaves manually when required.
  • Checks the accuracy of production codes, expiry dates, cases used and quantities.
  • Install rolls of plastic film and make adjustments where necessary.
  • Glues together loose and/or poorly glued boxes.
  • Helps clean lines during planned production stoppages.

 

Palletizing :

  • Checks case labelling.
  • Check color, quality and condition of pallets for different customers.
  • Checks the number of cases per pallet, depending on the customer.
  • Fill in control forms.
  • Transfers pallets to the freezer.

 

SST : Employees respect and follow health and safety rules at all times.

 

What we need from you:

 

  • Good command of written and spoken French.
  • Be comfortable with physical work.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ready to work in a cool environment (around 8 degrees Celsius).
  • Be available, without major constraints, to work night shifts.
  • Keep track of production line speeds.
  • Have the initiative and ability to identify needs on the floor and act accordingly.
  • Be able to work in an environment with flour and other allergens.

Availability for the plant on Rouen Street in Montreal:

 

Around-the-clock availability, day/evening/night, makes it easier to offer a full-time work schedule.

Reimbursement of safety shoes after the probationary period, up to a maximum of 100$ upon presentation of a receipt.

Weekly schedule between 36 and 40 hours.
