It is with great honor and pleasure that the Réseau de l'action bénévole du Québec (RABQ) announces the launch of the 37th edition of International Volunteer Day, which will take place on December 5, 2022, under the theme: Thank you to volunteers for creating links in the community.
What's more, this year the RABQ is supported by two broadcast partners (Hydro-Québec and the Union des Municipalités (UMQ)) to mark the day and pay tribute to volunteers.
In keeping with its mission to bring people together, and with the ultimate goal of highlighting the significant role played by volunteers, the RABQ is presenting the following initiatives for International Volunteer Day on December 5.
- The special section of our website dedicated to International Volunteer Day, as well as on our social networks (Facebook, LinkedIn, Tweeter);
- The 15-second animated video capsule;
- The poster for the day, the editable kit (available in a dozen formats) and the customizable postcard are available on our website;
- A broadcast campaign with Radio-Canada and Télé-Québec, but also with Quebec's community media (Association des médias écrits communautaires du Québec, Association des radios communautaires du Québec and the Fédération des télévisions communautaires autonomes du Québec);
- A partnership with the UMQ to illuminate a large number of city halls across Quebec;
- A photo contest, open to all. Participants have the chance to win a prize worth 500 $;
- A virtual meeting on December 5 with RABQ members and their members.
All the initiatives linked to International Volunteer Day can be consulted at : rabq.ca/5december.
Organizations wishing to thank volunteers are strongly encouraged to use our tools freely and share them.
