Call for entries- Noublood

1-Eligibility criteria

  • Teams must comprise between 2 and 5 participants;

    *A waiting list will be set up for solo applicants.

  • All participants must be between 18 and 35 years of age and be permanent residents or Canadians;
  • All participants must be equipped and available to take the online training described in the calendar under the “Courses” tab; or in person at 460 Sainte-Catherine West in Montreal;
  • All participants must live in Quebec, be able to communicate in French and have a valid health insurance card;
  • Each team must have completed its entry form by midnight on December 4, 2022;
  • BEFORE you fill in the form, make sure you have the documents described in the following section available in PDF format.

2-Documents to enclose with registration

  1. CV and cover letter (1 per participant) describing your reasons for joining the Noublood program (maximum 500 words)
  2. Description of your team's business idea or project and the need it addresses (500 words maximum)
  3. A brief description of the prototype/pilot your team could produce and its estimated budget of 1000$ (200 words maximum)

3-Evaluation

Evaluation of applications: The jury will look at the match between the participant's profile and the Noublood pathway, the relevance of the profile to Noublood objectives, the potential for the participant to acquire knowledge and skills, the potential for the participant to benefit from and influence the cultural and artistic sector, and the involvement and complementarity of the candidate's skills within his or her team.

Evaluation of business ideas: The jury will consider the clarity of the proposed business idea, the relevance and originality of the business idea, the development and marketing potential of the business idea, and the potential for partnerships and networking.

Prototype evaluation: The jury will consider the feasibility and relevance of the prototype in relation to the business idea.

4-Scholarships and registration fees

Registration fees: Due to very limited space and to ensure the commitment of all participants, a registration fee of 250$ per person will be required on the day of the welcome on January 27, 2023. The registration fee will be reimbursed by LOJIQ at mid-course to participants still in attendance.

Prototyping bursaries: Participants recognized by CALQ will receive a 3,000$ bursary for their project. Other participants will be eligible for grants from Carrefour jeunesse-emploi and Conseil des arts de Montréal.

Subsistence and participation bursaries: All participants will receive a 2,500$ participation bursary from LOJIQ.
