LOJIQ - Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec is looking for a volunteer to assist the work of the Collectif La DAL in its first project, the DAL grocery store self-managed by and for the St-Henri neighborhood. This volunteer mandate is for 6 months, from January 9 to June 23, 2023, at a rate of 20 hours per week.
Visit Collectif La DAL (Démarche alimentaire locale) was born out of a common interest among Saint-Henri residents to address the problem of food deserts in the neighborhood. With the DAL grocery store, the aim is to offer affordable, accessible and fresh food to the population of Saint-Henri and the surrounding area. The Collectif is also working to set up a delivery service for local seniors. In the long term, the organization hopes to contribute to the development of a sustainable and resilient food system in which the entire population can find its place and eat in an adapted manner.
