Nuit des mille et une cultures - A great intercultural evening

November 8 at 5 p.m.
at the Maison de la culture d'Ahuntsic

The Nuit des mille et une cultures is the fruit of collaboration between our two community organizations working in the Ahuntsic district of Montreal. This evening of festivities is all about artistic expression, inclusion and meeting others.

It's also an opportunity to take part in the Semaine Québécoise des Rencontres Interculturelles and celebrate cultural diversity in Montreal.

Part 1: The night of the courses
Presented by Pause Famille, "La nuit des parcours" is a community art exhibition featuring over 30 participants from a wide range of backgrounds, exploring the plurality of possible paths, be they those of a life, an identity or a migration. Come and discover works from a rich cultural background, recounting the stories of those who shape a part of our neighborhood.

Part Two: The night of the tale after RaContez-vous
Presented by CANA.

La Nuit du conte is the culmination of a cultural mediation program around storytelling offered for the first time at CANA: RaContez-vous! From July to October 2022, 9 people from immigrant backgrounds took part in 8 collective creation workshops, led by 2 talented storytellers: Myriame El Yamani and Saulo Giri.

Throughout these encounters, participants were able to tell their stories, share their migratory and life experiences, and learn from those of others. The tale you'll have the chance to discover is the fruit of their shared life stories and imaginations. Join us on Tuesday, November 8, for the Storytelling night and the RaContez-vous! exhibition, which retraces the entire process of collective creation.
