The Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) is recognized as an efficient and innovative public insurer. It is also one of the most appreciated public organizations in Quebec. Its mission is to protect and insure individuals against the risks associated with road use. To this end, its mandate includes road safety promotion and prevention activities.
The mandate of the Vice-présidence au contrôle routier et à la sécurité des véhicules (VPCRSV) is to monitor and control the transportation of people and goods, and to prevent and repress violations of the laws and regulations governing this transportation industry. The VPCRSV is also responsible for expertise relating to the safety of vehicles and their components (engineering of heavy and light vehicles), the network of agents, the strategy and evolution of the policy for assessing owners, operators and drivers of heavy vehicles, and expertise relating to rules governing access to driving.
Under the responsibility of the Procurement Division (DA), the Operational Communications Center (CCO) is made up of a dynamic and committed team. Communication, mutual support, professionalism and collegial respect are essential values that enable the OCC to be an important partner in achieving the SAAQ's mission.
