Institut du Nouveau Monde (INM), a non-partisan, independent organization dedicated to increasing citizen participation. Through their various projects, we offer young people the opportunity to become more actively involved in their society through citizenship education.
One of their upcoming projects is our 16e Winter school, standing from the February 23 to 25, 2024 at Camp Notre-Dame de la Rouge, an extraordinary location on the banks of the Ottawa River. This will be an opportunity for young people aged 15 to 35 from across Canada to get together and discuss the issues that matter to them, all in a friendly, festive atmosphere.
Under the theme Inspire differently, The team has devised three exceptional routes for young people to find their way around and take part in:
- Climate dialogues: Exploring alternatives
- Impact path: Getting involved with asylum seekers
- Living together: Collectively for social healing
How it goes:
- Young people choose a course when they register;
- We're organizing transportation (a bus will leave Montreal on Friday and return on Sunday);
- Young people enjoy the venue, meals, meetings with other young people and guest personalities, and learning opportunities such as interactive workshops and a host of special activities!
