About the position
As a Data and Technology Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of rigorous data practices and providing core IT support across The Depot. This role ensures quality data collection and management practices with a particular focus on data confidentiality, and involves extensive use of our database (Salesforce) and tools such as Excel or Google Sheets. The position also involves a good command of the software essential to the operation of the Depot (Google Suite, Salesforce, Jotform, Squarespace, Quickbooks, etc.) in order to facilitate their integration as required and ensure that staff and volunteers use them effectively. Finally, the analyst assesses the organization's IT needs, including recommending hardware or software, solving basic problems, helping the team to use data effectively and IT tools for administrative activities and programs.
The Data and Technology Analyst will report to the Director of Administration and work closely with the other Directors and all Depot programs.

About the Role
The Data & Technology Analyst is responsible for maintaining strong data practices and providing basic IT support across The Depot. They oversee high-quality data collection and management with a focus on data privacy, working extensively with our database (Salesforce) and tools like Excel or Google Sheets. The role also requires developing a solid understanding of the software systems essential to The Depot's operations (Google Suite, Salesforce, Jotform, Square, Quickbooks, etc.) to help integrate them as needed and to ensure staff and volunteers use them confidently. In addition, the analyst assesses and responds to the organization's IT needs, including recommending hardware or software, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the team in effectively using data and digital tools for both administrative and program activities.
The Data & Technology Analyst will report to the Director of Administration, and will work closely with other Directors and with all programs at The Depot.

What you bring
- 2 to 3 years' experience in database and data management required; experience with Salesforce is a strong asset
- In-depth knowledge of Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office, in particular Excel or Google Sheets
- Ability to solve basic hardware and software problems
- Ability to learn new digital tools quickly and to accompany, train and support colleagues in their use
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Initiative, motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, including an excellent command of spoken French and an intermediate level of English to be able to communicate with English-speaking staff, volunteers, participants and partners
- Ability to collaborate across programs and departments

Compétences demandées/Required skills
What you do
Data management and reporting (50-60%)
- Assume primary responsibility for the accuracy, management and enhancement of our Salesforce CRM.
- Develop, maintain and improve data collection processes for program, administration and fundraising teams in Salesforce and other platforms
- Ensure that appropriate data privacy and security measures are in place, and keep abreast of best practices
- Clean, organize and process data using a variety of approaches
- Create dashboards, reports and data visualizations to facilitate program evaluation and operational decision-making
- Help staff and volunteers enter data, prepare reports and understand data tools
- Develop and maintain new methods for presenting data clearly to staff and the public
- Collaborate with the Administration and HR Coordinator to ensure that administrative processes that rely on data and IT systems are effectively supported
Information technology (25-30%)
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for basic hardware/software problems (computers. Tablets, printers, access problems, Google accounts, etc.)
- Coordinate with external IT support when problems go beyond basic troubleshooting
- Assess needs, recommend and help purchase hardware and software as required (computers, tablets, routers, accessories)
- Acquire a solid understanding of the main platforms used at Le Dépôt (Google suite, Salesforce, Jotform, Square, Quickbooks online, etc.).
- Train staff during their integration and provide ongoing assistance in the use of the various technological tools, in particular by creating guides, FAQs and tutorials.
Project support and other tasks (10-20%)
- Provide technical support for new projects
- Assist the Program Director with evaluations
- Contribute to IT and data initiatives across the organization led by the management team
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time

What you Will Do

- Provide first-level troubleshooting for basic hardware/software issues (computers, tablets, printers, access issues, Google accounts, etc.).
- Coordinate with external IT support when issues exceed basic troubleshooting
Evaluate the need for, recommend and assist with the purchase of hardware and software as needed (computers, tablets, routers, accessories)
- Develop a solid understanding of key platforms used at The Depot (Google Suite, Salesforce, Jotform, Square, Quickbooks online etc.).
- Train staff during onboarding and provide ongoing support on the use of various technological tools, including creating guides, FAQs, and tutorials
Project Support & Other Tasks (Approx. 10-20%)
- Provide technical support for emerging projects
- Support Director of Programs with evaluations
- Contribute to organization-wide IT and data initiatives led by Directors
- Perform other related tasks as assigned from time to time

- Permanent full-time position (35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) with the possibility of working one day remotely, depending on team needs.
- 2-year contract with possibility of renewal and a salary of up to 30.22 $/hour

- More than 6 weeks paid vacation per year, prorated to hours worked, including::
- 4 % vacation pay (equivalent to 2 weeks for a full year's work) ;

- Over 6 weeks of paid time off per year, prorated to hours worked, including:
- 4% vacation pay (equivalent to 2 weeks per year);
- One additional week's paid vacation in August during the summer closure;
- Extra paid time off during the end-of-year holidays (December-January);
- Nine health days (including sick leave as per the Labour Standards Act);
- Paid statutory holidays.
