Prévention CDN-NDG is looking for an artist-teacher to run workshops for young people aged 12 to 25, in the Côte des Neiges/Notre Dame de Grâce borough.

Job description

The successful candidate will offer artistic workshops in our NDG premises.
The workshops will run from April 2026, over three seasons (spring, summer, autumn), with 8 sessions per season (precise schedule to be determined).

Sessions may include a mix of :
-creative workshops
-conferences / discussions
-cultural and artistic outings

Project objectives

The workshops aim to :
-encourage young people to express themselves personally and collectively
-develop their artistic and creative skills
-provide a safe, inclusive and stimulating space
-encourage the discovery of different art forms
strengthen the commitment, self-confidence and sense of belonging of the borough's young people
-Encourage young people to make their art public (social networks, events, etc.).

Schedule: 3 hours per week to be determined
Location: CDN-NDG Prevention Office, 5580 Chemin Upper Lachine Montreal, QC H4A 2A7
Start date: April 2026
Duration: 8 weeks per season (spring, summer, autumn)
From 24$/H, depending on experience

Profile required:

Professional or emerging artist
Ideally multidisciplinary (visual arts, digital arts, music, performance, etc.)
Experience or keen interest in working with young people
Ability to lead workshops, adapting to different profiles and levels
Autonomous, creative, organized and committed
Bilingual
