During this presentation, we welcomed two speakers from the Regroupement des organismes spécialisés pour l'emploi des personnes handicapées (Association of specialized organizations for the employment of disabled people) (ROSEPH) and Disabled Persons Advisory Committee.
In Quebec, over a million people are disabled (hearing, motor, language, intellectual, psychological, etc.). Unfortunately, the unemployment rate is still very high for this segment of the population, despite the current labor shortage*.
Our guests informed us about the labor pool represented by people with disabilities and the services available to employers (job adaptation, integration support, collaboration with resources and financial support).
We also had the chance to hear from Gilbert Roy, Senior Product Manager at Entrepôt de Montréal (Groupe Monaco inc.).
