Component: Business development in Japan
We are currently recruiting participants for a new entrepreneurial adventure in Tokyo, Japan!

Montreal for entrepreneurship, M4E, is a program that was developed in 2013 with the support of several partners, including;
- the Montreal Goethe Institut
- Futurepreneur, Montreal
- Wild campus
- Desjardins Caisse des Versant du mont Royal
This brand-new program focuses on business development and international market exploration for young entrepreneurs. Our program features coaching, entrepreneurial networking, co-development and an international exchange, specifically in Japan.
For this Special Edition, the program will take place November 1 to 10, 2024 or ten intensive days in Japan and a series of preparatory workshops, mostly online, will take place prior to the international trip.
Japan 2024 program details
A first group meeting will take place in October: date to be determined with participants.
Preparatory workshops in virtual mode.
- Japanese culture
- Business culture in Japan
- Introductory Japanese language course
- Meeting with the Japanese Consulate in Montreal
- Meet the entrepreneur behind Montreal's Japanese film festival
November 1 to 9, 2024
- Visit of the Quebec Delegation to Tokyo
- Meeting with a member of a Quebec company based in Japan
- Visits to startup support organizations
- Two-day immersive workshop on the ideation of an eco-responsible business with Bavarian university students
- Cultural tours
- Meeting with Quebec entrepreneurs based in Japan
- Customized company visit according to participants
Following the program, a team meeting will be held to encourage co-development between participants and create a strong network for entrepreneurs.
Eligibility criterias
- be between 18 and 30 years old
- Bilingual in French and English
- Canadian resident or citizen
- Be available for the entire program
- Having a business idea or being in business.
Cost of the program
The cost of the program is 1250$ and includes the cost of local travel and accommodation in Japan.
