Do you have a project idea that inspires you? Would you like to see change in your neighborhood, school or community? Do you simply want to take concrete action to get things moving?
For 2023-2024, Environnement Jeunesse is offering financial support of up to 5 000$ per project to support and accelerate the realization of environmental initiatives by young people aged 15 to 29 in Quebec, with a positive impact on their community. Financial support is available for projects at the idea, test or implementation stage.
Call for projects

- Supporting young people (aged 15-29) in carrying out concrete actions
- Equipping and raising awareness among young people of environmental issues through environmental education
- Strengthen existing eco-citizen projects by or for young people
Several projects have already been carried out with this financial support.
In addition to financial support, project leaders receive coaching to help them develop their initiative.
Support includes :
- Personalized meetings with the support program manager, tailored to the needs of the individual and his or her project. These meetings are designed to answer strategic and logistical questions.
- A group meeting between March and June 2024 to create a community of people engaged in similar transition initiatives. This event encourages the exchange of ideas and experiences.
- Training courses designed to provide tools and skills to help participants advance their initiatives and move forward collectively.
- Youth / Group of young citizens aged 15 to 29
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
- Living in Quebec
- Have a project in the start-up or development phase
- Be accompanied by a third party (organization, committee, educational staff, etc.)
- College or university student committee or association
- Social economy enterprise (NPO, CO-OP) with a majority of young people or which involves the target public in the process
Any project that has already received financial support from ENvironnement JEUnesse in 2023 is not eligible.
The projects received will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Project feasibility
- Involvement and mobilization of young people (aged 15 to 29) in the project
- Extent of environmental and community impacts and benefits
- Project sustainability
- Project promotion
- Overall demand quality
The project must :
- A commitment to environmental education
- Taking place in the province of Quebec
- Involve young people between the ages of 15 and 29, either as project leaders or as participants in the implementation process.
- To be completed no later than June 30, 2024
