The Project C.A.R.E Community, Accompaniment, Resource and Engagement at the CJE NDG has for goal to reinforce a holistic and ecosystemic approach for young people under the child welfare service that could benefit from our services. In collaboration with the intervention workers of MYCASA, a peer-led organization putting forth experiential knowledge of people placed in the child welfare system, C.A.R.E provides a non-judgement approach to connect young people from NDG to the adequate services.
The intervention workers of the project C.A.R.E go into Batshaw group homes and schedule individual meetings as well as community gatherings to support youth from the child welfare system in their transition to adulthood.
